Tips to Organising and Cleaning Your Bathroom

Maintaining bathroom needs the same effort as maintaining any other part of your home. However, a proper deep clean of your bathroom needs to go beyond wiping and washing the surfaces that are visible at a first glance. Read below to find out some of the easiest cleaning and organising tips you can use for a clean and sanitised bathroom.

Use More than Water to Clean

When cleaning the surfaces like the mirror or the tiles, use more than water to get rid of the stains permanently. You can use cleaning sprays for the mirrors and other glass surfaces. Wipe the surface thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth or with toilet papers. To clean your shower and get rid of the shower scum, try using vinegar. If the smell of vinegar is too strong, you can make a mix of vinegar and dish soap to wipe off the shower scum.

Cleaning out soap or makeup stains is not enough. Even water can leave ugly stains on the surfaces if they are not wiped. This is why you see small stains on your faucets, or handles. The trick to avoid these is to wipe the metal surfaces as soon as they get wet. Or you can avoid touching these surfaces with wet hands. However, this is not always possible. So, to get rid of the stains, you can use some lemon juice. Lemon works well if there are old water stains that are hard to remove.

Clean the Toilet

Toilet cleaning liquid is not something that is hard to find. But how often do you clean the inside of the rim of the toilet? And how often do you try to do a full germ-killing wipe-out when cleaning?  If you are looking for something effective to kill germs and bacteria, try vinegar again. More specifically white vinegar can get rid of germs and dirt gathered on the toilet. When you are cleaning, make sure to get every spot.

Check Your Drains

One of the most important parts of deep cleaning your bathroom is ensuring your pluming works right. Most of the time, clogged drains are a reason behind bad odours in the bathroom. To unclog, you can use the classic baking soda and vinegar mix.

But for more serious issues with your plumbing, you can try to hire a blocked drain and sewer plumber in Blackburn. Most issues are easy to take care by yourself. But if you have left the drains unattended for too long, it is better to get the help of an expert to clear out the plumbing.

Get Organisers and Holders

Finally, to maintain the bathroom you cleaned, you also need organisers and holders that can declutter the bathroom. For example, getting makeup or a cosmetic organiser can keep your skincare products and other toiletries stored perfectly.

This will also limit getting cleansing liquids, soaps or makeup stains on the sink. Add a trashcan to the bathroom too. This can be a place where loose hair and used toilet paper will go.  Never try to flush the trash down the toilet as it can clog your sewers.

Keeping your bathroom clean and healthy is essential to maintain good hygiene. So, make sure to follow these tips and avoid extra trouble in future.
